Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini elected Fellow of Biomaterials Science and Engineering (FBSE)
Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini, Institute of Biomaterials – WW7, has been elected Fellow of Biomaterials Science and Engineering (FBSE), the highest honor the global biomaterials community can bestow on outstanding biomaterials scientists, which is awarded by the International Union of Societies for Biomaterials Science and Engineering (IUSBSE). The International Colleage of Fellows of Biomaterials Science and Engineering is a group of less that 500 of the most respected biomaterials scientists worldwide. The induction ceremony will take place at the 12th World Biomaterials Congress (WBC2024) to be held in Daegu, South Korea, May 26-31, 2024.
Prof. Boccaccini said: „I am overwhelmed by this recognition as FBSE. This is indeed the result of many years of effective and successful work contributing to the biomaterials field which has been only possible by the contribution and hard work of former and current members of my research group, including PhD students, post-docts, academic colleagues as well as our large network of national and international collaborators. I thank them a lot for such great collaborations and support over the years and I look forward to play a role in the activities of the International College of Fellows of Biomaterials Science and Engineering in the near future“.
